Abstrak
Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) is a collection of physical and psychological symptoms experienced by women during the luteal phase before menstruation, which can affect daily activities. Lifestyle factors, particularly eating and sleep patterns, are suspected to play a significant role in the development of PMS symptoms. This study aimes to determine the relationship between eating patterns and sleep patterns with the incidence of PMS among students in the Public Health Study Program. The research is quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 249 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument is a questionnaire that includes data on respondent characteristics, eating patterns, sleep patterns, and PMS occurrences.. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis with Chi-square tests. The results show no relationship between eating patterns (?= 0.992) and PMS. occurrence, while sleep patterns (?= 0.030) have a significant relationship with PMS occurrence. This study cocludes that eating patterns do not relate to PMS, but sleep patterns have a significant relationship with PMS. Therefore, reproductive health education related to healthy lifestyle choices is important to provide to students to reduce the risk of PMS.
