ULVATUR RAHMA. Factors Related to Breast Cancer Prevention Behavior in Women in the Talise Public Health Center Work Area (under the supervision of Nur Hikmah Buchair) Concentration in Epidemiology Public Health Study Program Faculty of Public Health Tadulako University Breast cancer (Carcinoma Mammae) is a malignant tumor in the breast tissue that can spread Through the Global Breast Cancer Initiative (GBCI) WHO recorded a decrease in the incidence of breast cancer from 11.6% in 2018 to 11.5% in 2022. Meanwhile, in Indonesia the incidence of breast cancer continues to increase every year, in 2022 the incidence of breast cancer reached 30.1% and in 2023 it reached 42.1% this increase in incidence is due to low breast cancer prevention behavior (BSE). The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to breast cancer prevention behavior in WUS in the Talise Public Health Center work arca. Type of the research was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 100 people with a population of 12,724. The sampling technique used proportional stratified random sampling. Data collection was carried out using questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariately and bivariately using the chi-square test with a significance level of 95% (? = 0.05). The results of the analysis showed that there was a relationship between attitudes and BSE behavior with a p-value of 0.007 (<0>0.05) and there was no relationship between support from health workers and BSE behavior with a p-value of 0.408 (>0.05). The conclusion is that attitudes have a relationship with BSE behavior, while knowledge and support from health workers do not have a relationship with BSE behavior It is expected that health worker will provide more understanding to WUS to prevent breast cancer with BSE cebinques.
