Abstrak One of the natural disasters in Indonesia is tidal flooding, caused by rising sea levels and land subsidence. This event frequently occurs in coastal areas, including Lompio Village, located in the Sirenja subdistrict. Coastal regions are vulnerable to rising sea levels, especially during high tides and extreme weather. Tidal flooding has the potential to cause various health issues such as diarrhea, respiratory infections, dengue fever, and skin diseases. Community preparedness is crucial to reduce the risks and impacts of disasters. This study aims to assess the preparedness of the Lompio community in facing health problems post-tidal flooding in the working area of Tompe Health Center. The research employs a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach, with a sample size calculated using Slovin's formula, totaling 79 samples. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test. The results indicate significant relationships between preparedness and all variables (p < 0.05): knowledge (p = 0.000), attitudes (p = 0.000), emergency response planning (p = 0.000), and early warning systems (p = 0.000). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes, emergency response plans, and early warning systems with the preparedness of the Lompio community in addressing health issues after tidal flooding. Recommendations from this study suggest that the village government should enhance community preparedness through regular health education on disease prevention and involve community health cadres in early monitoring and response to prevent disease outbreaks. |
