Abstrak
Globally, in 2020, it is estimated that 10 million people will suffer from TB. Indonesia contributed 8.4% of TB cases. Data from 2019–2020 shows that the success rate for TB treatment in Sigi District has decreased and increased and has not reached the predetermined target of 85%. Apart from that, there is a lack of staff management in the treatment of sufferers; namely, health workers do not use control cards for the treatment of sufferers. In 2020, the success rate for TB treatment was 92%; in 2021, it was 92.9%; and in 2022, it was 53.9%. The Biromaru Public Health Center is a health service in Sigi District with the highest TB cases. This study aims to look at the factors associated with adherence to taking anti-tuberculosis medication (OAT) in TB sufferers at the Biromaru Public Health Center. This type of research was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The population in the study was 72, and samples were obtained using the Slovin formula, namely 62 samples with a simple random sampling technique. Statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test shows that self-efficacy (p = 0.000), drug side effects (p = 0.001), and the role of health workers (p = 0.000) were related to compliance with taking anti-tuberculosis medication at the Biromaru Community Health Center. Meanwhile, distance to health services (p = 0.180) was not related to adherence to taking medication at the Biromaru Community Health Center. It is recommended that health workers control sufferers when taking medication. Keywords : Efficacy, Side Effects, Role of Officers
