Abstrak
Diabetic ulcers or foot wounds due to diabetes have a significant impact on public health, especially in countries with a high prevalence of diabetes such as Indonesia. Diabetic ulcers directly affect the quality of life of patients. The prevalence of diabetic ulcers in Indonesia is around 15%, the amputation rate is 30%, and the mortality rate is 32%. Diabetic ulcers are the most common cause of hospitalization for diabetes mellitus, accounting for 80%. Diabetic ulcers occur in 15-25% of patients with diabetes mellitus and more than 2% per year, between 5 and 7.5% of patients with neuropathy. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for diabetic ulcers in patients with diabetes mellitus at the Undata Regional General Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. This type of research was quantitative with a case-control approach at a 95% confidence level. The sample size was taken using the Slovin formula with a result of 49 people with a 1: 1 ratio and using gender matching with a total sample of 98 people. Sampling was done using purposive sampling technique. The data source used secondary data in the form of medical records. Data analysis using odds ratio test, the results of the study showed that HbA1c (OR=2.723) and the value (p=0.037), Albumin (OR=2.976) and (p=0.022), are risk factors for the occurrence of Diabetic Ulcers and are significantly meaningful, With that, it is hoped that there will be efforts to understand the importance of HbA1c and Albumin in the community in order to reduce the incidence of Diabetic Ulcers and Hypertension (OR= 1.088) and value (p= 0.838) are not risk factors for the occurrence of Diabetic Ulcers. Keywords: HbA1c, Albumin, Hypertension, Diabetic Ulcer
