Abstrak
ABSTRACT MEILANI . The Effect of Earthquake Disaster Management Training on the Preparedness of Elementary School Teachers in East Palu District (Supervised by Lusia Salmawati). Occupational Safety and Health Specialization Public Health Study Program Public Health Faculty Tadulako University Disasters are events or series of events that threaten and disrupt people's lives and livelihoods and it caused by natural, non-natural and human factors, resulting in human casualties, environmental damage, property loss and psychological impacts. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of earthquake disaster management training on the preparedness of elementary school teachers in East Palu sub-district. This was quantitative research with a quasi-experimental approach. This research was conducted at the Elementary School in East Palu Sub-District. The population in this study was all teaching staff. The sampling technique in this research was determined through purposive non-random sampling, with a total sample of 41 respondents. Data collection used was questionnaire. The data analysis method used was descriptive analysis and hypotheses. The results of this study indicate that knowledge (sig.(2-tailed) = 0.000), attitude (sig.(2-tailed) = 0.009), and resource mobilization (sig.(2-tailed) = 0.000) have a significant effect with the preparedness of elementary school teachers in East Palu sub-district. Meanwhile, the emergency response plan (sig.(2-tailed) = 0.053) has no significant effect on the preparedness of elementary school teachers in East Palu sub-district. It is recommended for elementary school teachers to hold programs regarding disaster management in order to improve abilities and skills in dealing with disasters Keywords: Teachers, Resource Mobilization, Knowledge, Emergency Response Plan, Attitude.
