Abstrak
Disasters are events or series of incidents that threaten and disrupt people's lives, including the impact of natural, non-natural, and human factors, especially in Central Sulawesi with case data throughout 2020, there were 4,650 disaster incidents in Indonesia which resulted in 418 people missing and dying. So it is necessary to take a comprehensive approach, namely disaster education in schools. This is an effective, dynamic, and sustainable strategy in disaster education efforts. This research aims to determine the effect of earthquake disaster management training on the preparedness of elementary school teachers in the Sindue Tombusabora District. This type of quantitative research uses the Quasi-Experimental method (One Group Pretest Posttest Design). The population in this study was 117 teachers in the Sindue Tombusabora sub-district. The total sample was 37 respondents. Sampling used purposive non-random sampling. The data obtained were analyzed statistically using the Shapiro-Wilk Normality test and Paired Samples T-test. The research results show that there is an influence of earthquake disaster management training on elementary school teachers' preparedness through the results of the Paired Sample T-Test on 4 variables including; Level of Knowledge (p=0.000), Attitude (p=0.000), Emergency Response (p=0.000), and Resource Mobilization (p=0.000). It is recommended that teachers seek knowledge about natural disasters more widely so that they can create more creative learning about natural disasters, using fun methods.
