Abstrak Cervical cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world after cardiovascular disease. Globally it is estimated that every year there are 527,624 women suffer from cervical cancer and 265,672 die from this disease. In Indonesia, there are 32,469 women with cervical cancer. in Central Sulawesi of 2021 there were 183 cases of cervical cancer. Medical record data at Undata Hospital showed that the incidence of cervical cancer in 2020-2021 is still the third largest disease in the Gynecological Oncology Poly with a total of 634 cases with a prevalence of 57.6%. This shows that cervical cancer in Undata Hospital is a problem of women's health that needs attention from the Central Sulawesi Provincial Health Office. This research intends to determine the risk of age at first sexual intercourse, parity, use of hormonal contraception, and exposure to cigarette smoke on the incidence of cervical cancer in Undata Hospital. This was a quantitative method with a case control approach. Case samples were 48 people and control samples were 48 people with age matching. Sampling was conducted through purposive sampling. The data source used was secondary data in the form of medical records for 2021-2022 and primary data, namely interviews with questionnaires. Data were analyzed through the odd ratio test, the results reveal that age at first sexual intercourse (OR = 2,333; CI = 1,029-5,292), parity (OR = 4,000; CI = 1,712-9,346), use of hormonal contraception (OR = 2,600; CI = 1.130-5.984), exposure to cigarette smoke (OR = 1.486; CI = 0.539-4.100), is a risk factor for the incidence of cervical cancer, women of childbearing age and sexually active are expected to routinely screen by doing pap smear and HPV vaccination. |
