Abstrak Hypertension is one of the health problems that causes premature death in the worldwide. Hypertension is one of the most common diseases. In order to avoid the occurrence of severe complications in elderly hypertension patients, it is necessary to comply with hypertension treatment. Around 1.13 billion people in the world have hypertension, and it will continue to increase every year, namely 10.44 million people suffer from hypertension and its complications. The prevalence of hypertension increased to 34.1 percent based on Riskesdas data in 2018. Central Sulawesi Province in 2020 had the highest number of cases, namely hypertension sufferers as much as 2.33 percent. In Palu City, the highest cases of hypertension were found at the Kamonji Health Center. This research aims at analyzing the factors associated with non-adherence to hypertension treatment in the elderly in the working area of ??the Kamonji Health Center. This is a quantitative research with a cross sectional approach. The number of populations in this research are 1,088, 197 people were taken as samples using the slovin formula. Sampling using non-probability sampling technique. The analysis used is chi-square. The results of this research indicate that family support (p = 0.045), Knowledge (p = 0.038), Elderly Attitude (p = 0.047) there is a correlation between non-adherence and Hypertension Treatment in the elderly in the Kamonji Health Center Work Area. Furthermore, there is no correlation between Health Officer Support (p = 0.089) and Non-adherence to Hypertension Treatment in the elderly during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Work Area. It is suggested to the health workers of Kamonji Health Center to explain to the patients and family one by one in a language that is easily understood by them. The health workers also should suggest to the patients to control their blood pressure and weigh every month before the medicine is given. |
