Factors Associate to Work Stress towards Psychiatric Nurse in Hospital Stay Ward of Madani Public Hospital Central Sulawesi (Under the Supervisions of Muhammad Rizki Ashari). Health Administration and Policy Specialization Public Health Study Program Public Health Faculty Tadulako University Work Stress of Nurse Work stress is a problem that is often experienced by workers, including nurse. Job stress can cause a discrepancy between the individual and their environment, the higher the discrepancy between the demands of the job and the individual's abilities, the higher the level of stress experienced. Factors that can cause work stress are the physical environment, workload, work shifts, interpersonal relationships and activities outside of work. This research intends to determine the relationship between physical environment, workload, work shifts, interpersonal relationships, and activities outside of work and work stress of mental nurses at Madani Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province. This research was a quantitative analytic survey with a cross sectional approach. Sampling used was the total sampling method. The number of samples was 63 respondents. Data was collected through a questionnaire with Likert and Guttman scales. The results reveals that there was a relationship between workload (p=0.012), shift work relationship (p=0.023) interpersonal relationship (p=0.44), and no physical environment relationship (p=0.963), activities outside of work (p= 0.552) with work stress. It is suggested that the hospital may overcome the factors that cause stress to nurses in order to improve the quality of service at the hospital. Keywords: Job Stress, Nurse, Madani Hospital |
