Muafiah Basir. Factors Influencing the Discovery of Suspected Tuberculosis during the COVID-19 Pandemic in Palu (Supervised by Herawanto) Epidemiology Department Public Health Study Program Public Health Faculty Tadulako University, Palu WHO reports that the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a 50% reduction in TB CDR. The CDR in Indonesia in 2019 was 64.5%, and in 2020 decreased to 41.7%, which means there was a decline of 22.8% during the pandemic. The CDR of Central Sulawesi in 2020 was 43.64%, while in 2021, it was 26% and a decrease of 17.64%. This shows that Central Sulawesi's CDR has not reached the national target of 90%. Based on a report from the Health Office of Palu, the decrease in CDR due to the COVID-19 pandemic has made people with signs and symptoms of tuberculosis afraid of being infected and declared COVID-19, so they are not willing to visit health services. Most of the Public Health centers in Palu City experienced a decrease in the number of suspected tuberculosis cases. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the discovery of suspected tuberculosis during the COVID-19 pandemic in Palu City, the type of cross-sectional study. The population in the study amounted to 15.620 people. The samples consist of 100 respondents taken by Slovin Formula, and the sampling design used probability sampling with a stratified random sampling technique. The analysis used is the T-test with = 10%. The results show that there is a significant effect between knowledge of suspected tuberculosis (p = 0.000), stigma (p = 0.000), and tuberculosis services (p = 0.000) on the discovery of suspected tuberculosis during the COVID-19 pandemic in Palu City. It is recommended to increase tuberculosis tracking in the COVID-19 pandemic conditions and conduct training to improve and optimize the role of tuberculosis cadres in the working area of each Public Health Center. Keywords: TB suspect, COVID-19, Knowledge, Stigma
