ABSTRAC VADIAH ALMRATUL MUTHIA. Mapping of Susceptibility to Acute Respiratory Infections in Toddlers Based on the Physical Condition of the House in the Working Area of the Singgani Public Health Clinic, Palu City in 2021. (Supervised by Pitriani) Department of Environmental Health Public Health Study Program Faculty of Public Health Tadulako University Palu May 2022 Acute Respiratory Infection (ARI) is one of the environmental-based diseases that cause a high incidence of morbidity and mortality, especially in toddlers. Based on data from the Singgani Public Health Clinic in Palu City, ARI is in first place in the 10 highest diseases, especially in pediatric polyclinics. This research aims to find out the susceptibility of the incidence of ARI in toddlers based on aspects of the physical condition of the house including the variable area of ventilation, residential density, type of wall, and type of floor in the working area of the Singgani Public Health Clinic, Palu City. This research uses an ecological study with a Geographic Information System approach. The population of this research amounted to 1.167 toddlers and the sample totaled 93 toddlers, which were selected using Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. Taking the coordinates of the respondent's house using the Timestamp Camera Enterprise application, the spatial data were analyzed using the Arc Map 18.0 application. The results of the research show that there is no relationship between aspects of the physical condition of the house (ventilation area with a ?-value=1.00 > 0.05), (occupancy density with a ?-value=1,00 > 0,05), (wall type with a ?-value= 0,37 > 0,05) and (type of floor with a ?-value= 1,00 > 0,05) and the susceptibility to the incidence of ARI among toddlers in the working area of the Singgani Public Health Clinic, Palu City. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between the physical condition of the house and the incidence of ARI in toddlers in the working area of the Singgani Public Health Clinic, Palu City and the mapping shows that the Besusu Barat Village has the highest level of susceptibility to the incidence of ARI in toddlers because most of the physical conditions of the house did not meet the requirements according to the healthy housing compared to other villages. Recommendations for the local government and the Public Health Clinic to work together to focus more on conducting counseling related to healthy housing requirements.
