Abstrak
ABSTRACT NUR IKRA. Factors Associated with the Use of Implant Contraceptives in Family Planning Acceptors in Ujuna Village. (under the supervision of Rosmala Nur) Specialization in Biostatistics, Family Planning and Population Public Health Study Program Public Health Faculty Tadulako University The method of using implant contraceptives based on the 2018 IDHS, the proportion of LAPM (Long-Acting Reversible Contraception) users in Indonesia from 1994 to 2018 has continued to decline. However, in 2021 contraceptive service activities in Palu City have increased again, one of which is in Ujuna Village with the highest number of active family planning acceptors in Palu City, as much as 75% of the total family planning acceptors using other contraceptive methods. This study aims to determine the factors associated with the use of implant contraceptives in family planning acceptors in Ujuna Village. This type of research uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all women of reproductive age with a total of 1,631 people who are family planning acceptors in Ujuna Village. Sampling was done randomly (probality sampling). Data analysis used the Chi-Square test. The analysis results show that maternal age (p-value=0.005), husband's support (p-value=0.001), and education level (p-value=0.530) variables. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between age and husband's support with the use of contraceptives in Ujuna Village. It is expected that the family planning extension field officers (PLKB) will collaborate with Public Health Centre employees improve the family planning program in the form of the use of implant contraceptives by conducting IEC and counseling on the use of implant contraceptives, so that visits by family planning officers can provide individual and group counseling. And also include the husband when conducting counseling on implant contraception. Keywords: Implant contraception, age, education, husband's support
