Abstrak
ABSTRACT ROSANTI. Factors Related to Anxiety during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Palu (under the supervision of Dilla Srikandi Syahadat) Concentration in Epidemiology Public Health Study Program Public Health Faculty Tadulako University, Palu The latest research study in 34 provinces in Indonesia found 50% of respondents experienced anxiety in facing Covid-19 pandemic. Based on a report from the Palu Health Office, there was an increase in anxiety cases during the period from January to June 2021, with the results of a preliminary study conducted in Palu that out of 10 respondents, 7 of them experienced anxiety. Changes in daily routines that need to be implemented during a pandemic cause some people to feel uncomfortable. So this can cause feelings of anxiety. This research aimed to determine factors related to anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palu.. Type of the research was quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The sample in the research was 119 people obtained from 8 sub-districts in Palu, Central Sulawesi. Sampling applied the Accidental Slamping technique, the analysis were univariate and bivariate using Chi-square test with < 0.05. The results of this research indicate that gender (p= 0.414) and occupation (p= 1,000) are not associated with anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palu. Meanwhile, the level of knowledge (p = 0.045), medical conditions (p = 0.029) and experience of Covid-19 (p = 0.024) are related to anxiety during the Covid-19 pandemic in Palu. It is recommended to do activities that can make you feel relaxed and share feelings with the closest people to reduce anxiety, and continue to apply health protocols during activities outside the home.
