Abstrak
ABSTRACT Stunting is a condition where toddlers have a height that is shorter than their age, resulting from malnutrition that occurs in the First 1000 Days of Life. Indonesia ranks as the 3rd largest country in Asia with a stunting prevalence of 36.4%. The prevalence of stunting in toddlers in the working area of Toili I Public Health Center has increased from 21% to 22%. The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between feeding patterns and stunting in toddlers in the working area of Toili I Public Health Center in Moilong Sub-District Banggai District. The research method used quantitative with a cross-sectional research design. The sample of this research was 166 stunting toddlers, which were taken through purposive sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaire and toddlers were measured using a height measuring instrument, the data were analyzed using the Spearmen's Rho test. The results show that there is a relationship between the feeding patterns sig. (2-tailed) = 0.000, number of feedings sig. (2-tailed) = 0.007), and feeding time sig. (2-tailed) = 0.005. Suggestions for health workers, they should not only focus on providing knowledge or information to mothers of toddlers, but they should also emphasize to give direct training related to proper feeding patterns, especially for stunting toddlers.
