Abstrak ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan getah papaya pada pakan terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan, sehingga didapatkan 18 unit. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah penambahan getah pepaya pada pakan dengan dosis yang berbeda yakni, Perlakuan A: Kontrol, Perlakuan B: Penambahan getah pepaya 1,5%, Perlakuan C: Penambahan getah pepaya 2%, Perlakuan D: Penambahan getah pepaya 2,5%, Perlakuan E: Penambahan getah pepaya 3%, Perlakuan F: Penambahan getah pepaya 3,5%. Hasil analisis ragam (ANOVA) dan Uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT) memberikan pengaruh nyata. Pertumbuhan bobot mutlak tertinggi didapat pada perlakuan E 5,28 g, tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi didapat pada perlakuan E 93%, tingkat efisiensi pakan tertinggi dicapai pada perlakuan E sebesar 61,35%. Kisaran suhu media pemeliharaan 27-28oC, pH 6,8-8,3 sedangkan oksigen terlarut (DO) berkisar 3,8-7,9 mg/L dan amoniak 0,2 mg/L. Kata kunci: Oreochromis niloticus, Caricaya papaya L., Enzim papain. ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of adding papaya latex to feed on the growth and survival of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). The experimental design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and 3 replications, so 18 units were obtained. The treatments used in this study were the addition of papaya latex to the feed with different doses, namely, Treatment A: Control, Treatment B: Addition of 1.5% papaya latex, Treatment C: Addition of 2% papaya latex, Treatment D: Addition of papaya latex 2, 5%, Treatment E: Addition of 3% papaya latex, Treatment F: Addition of 3.5% papaya latex. The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the smallest significant difference test (BNT) gave a significant effect. The highest absolute weight growth was obtained in treatment E at 5.28 g, the highest survival rate was obtained in treatment E at 93%, and the highest feed efficiency level was achieved in treatment E at 61.35%. The temperature range of the maintenance medium is 27-28 oC, pH is 6.8-8.3 while dissolved oxygen (DO) is 3.8-7.9 mg/L and ammonia is 0.2 mg/L.
