Abstrak The aim of the study was to determine the effect of the papain enzyme in artificial feed on the growth and survival of white snapper (Lates calcarifer). The research was carried out for 40 days on December 30, 2021-February 7, 2022. The organism used was white snapper with a size of 4-5 cm and a weight of 1.16-2.35 g. The research design was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatment was the addition of papain enzyme with different doses in artificial feed and without the addition of papain enzyme (control). Treatment A Without the addition of papain enzyme in feed (control), Treatment B Addition of 13.75% papain enzyme in 500 g commercial feed, Treatment C Addition of 18.75% papain enzyme in 500 g commercial feed, Treatment D Addition of 23.75% enzyme papain in 500 g of commercial feed. Research data between variance (ANOVA) using Microsoft Excel and statistical program MINITAB 16, if the observed variables affect the treatment, followed by the BNJ test at 95% confidence. While the quality of water data was analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the artificial papain enzyme had a significant effect on the absolute weight growth of white snapper with the best growth in treatment B, which was 4.50 g. The provision of papain enzymes in artificial feed had a significant effect on the absolute length growth of white snapper with the best absolute length growth in treatment B, which was 3.22 cm. Survival during the study ranged from 84-92% and the highest survival was in treatment B, which was 92%. Keywords: White snapper, feed, papain enzyme, growth, survival. |
