| Abstrak Nur Andri Antika (O 121 19 139). Use of Sugarcane Water Diluents in Various Concentrations on the Quality of Goat Spermatozoa (under the guidance of Yohan Rusiyantono and Soni Sopiyana). The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of motility and vitality of spermatozoa given sugarcane juice diluent in various concentrations. The research was carried out at the Animal Husbandry Research Center (Balitnak) Ciawi District, Bogor Regency, West Java Province which was carried out in June-July 2022. The semen used in this study was taken from Male Goats of the Sapera type, with an age range of ±1 year 8 months with body weight is around 40 kg. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD), with 4 treatments and 4 replications consisting of: 100% (10 ml) Egg Yolk Tris Diluent as Control (P0), 5% (0.5 ml) Sugarcane Water + 95% (9.5 ml) Egg Yolk Tris (P1), 10% (1 ml) Sugarcane Water + 90% (9 ml) Antibiotics (P2) and 20% (2 ml) Sugarcane Water + 80% (8 ml) Antibiotics ( P3). Each treatment was evaluated for motility and viability. The results of the research on motility and viability of sugarcane juice that gave the best results were found in the concentration (P3) of 20% sugarcane diluent at each time of observation and it can be concluded that the P3 treatment was able to maintain the quality of goat spermatozoa and was suitable for use in artificial insemination programs. |
