Abstrak This study aims to determine the effect of giving garlic powder as a feed additive on broiler production performance. This research was carried out in the stables belonging to the Development and Agribusiness Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Tadulako University, which is located in Sibalaya Selatan Village, Tambubulava District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Held from 01 September - 05 October 2022, using 100 broiler chickens. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications, Treatment P0: Basal Feed + 0% Garlic Leaf Flour, P1: Basal Feed + 2.5% Garlic Leaf Flour, P2: Basal Feed + 5 % Garlic Flour, P3 : Basal Feed + 7.5% Garlic Flour, P4 : Basal Feed + 10% Garlic Leaf Flour, with further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ). The results of the research on the effect of feeding garlic powder as a feed additive had a very significant effect on feed consumption with a value, P0 : 3692.50 ± 40.10 - P4 : 3893.45 ± 54.16 g/head. Has no significant effect on body weight gain with a value of P0 : 1899.90 ± 146.89 - P4 : 2115.35 ± 90.48g/head and has no significant effect on feed conversion with a value of P0 : 1.95 ± 0.16 - P4 : 1.84 ± 0.08. Conclusion of the study This study showed that the use of leek powder as a feed additive had a very significant effect on feed consumption and body weight gain at a feeding level of 10%, while feed conversion did not affect consumption and body weight gain of broilers. |
