Abstrak This study aims to determine the use of garlic powder as a feed additive on Carcass Quality and Carcass Components of Broiler Chickens. It is expected to be able to get good quality feed with raw materials that are easily available and inexpensive to reduce production costs. This research was carried out in the stables belonging to the Development and Agribusiness Laboratory of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Tadulako University, which is located in Sibalaya Selatan Village, Tambubulava District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. Held from 01 September – 05 October 2022. Using 100 broiler chickens. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. Treatment P0 : Basal Feed + 0% Garlic Leaf Flour, P1 : Basal Feed + 2.5% Garlic Leaf Flour, P2 : Basal Feed + 5% Garlic Leaf Flour, P3 : Basal Feed + 7.5% Leaf Flour Garlic, P4 : Basal Feed + 10% Garlic Leaf Powder, with further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ). The results of this study showed that the treatment had no significant effect on carcass percentage (P>0.05) with a value of P0: 73.71-P4: 75.29 g/head. treatment that had a significant effect (P<0>0.05) on the carcass component (back) with a value of P0 : 20.61-P4 : 24.07 g/head. While the treatment showed no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the percentage of the carcass component (wings) with a value of P0 : 9.48- P4 : 10.09 g/head. The conclusion of the research giving garlic powder as a feed additive of 2.5% -10% in broilers has a significant effect on P4 (10%), it can be seen from the results of the study that there is a higher percentage rate at the 10% level of administration. |
