| Abstrak The growth of broilers must be balanced with adequate rations. Fulfillment of ration needs both quality and quantity will determine the appearance of livestock production. Yellow pumpkin (Cucurbita moschata) is a plant that contains dietary fiber and high antioxidant activity. Seeing that the nutrient content of pumpkin is quite complete, but its utilization is not maximized, the pumpkin has the potential to be developed as animal feed. This study aims to determine the growth performance of broilers fed rations containing pumpkin flour. This research was conducted in the experimental cage of the Development and Agribusiness Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, Tadulako University, located in South Sibalaya Village, Tambulava District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi, for 6 weeks, starting from April 20 to June 2, 2022 using 80 DOCs. (day old chick) broiler obtained from PT. Malindo. This study was designed using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications. The treatment given was R0 = control diet, R1 = 97% control diet + 3% pumpkin flour, R2 = 94% control diet + 6% pumpkin flour, R3 = 91% control diet + 9% pumpkin flour, R4 = 88% control ration = 12% pumpkin flour. Variables observed included ration consumption, body weight gain, ration conversion. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on ration consumption, body weight gain and ration conversion of broilers. It was concluded that the use of pumpkin flour up to 12% could be used in broiler rations. Keyword :broiler, pumkin flour, performance |
