Abstrak Moh. Fahrurozy (O 121 17 327) Effect of Chicken Egg Yolk Level in Coconut Water Diluent on Spermatozoa Quality of Bangkok Chicken (Gallus-gallus Domesticus) During Storage At 5ºC (under the guidance of Y. Rusyiantono and M. I. Mumu, 2021) Bangkok chicken is a descendant of Gallus-gallus originating from Thailand but has long been bred in Indonesia. Poultry semen has the characteristics of low volume and high concentration of spermatozoa. Liquid cement technology is one way of preserving cement which is carried out for short storage purposes at a temperature of 5°C. This study aimed to determine the effect of broiler egg yolk levels in coconut water diluent on the sperm quality of Bangkok chicken (Gallus-gallus Domesticus) during storage at 5ºC. In this study, semen from a Bangkok rooster was accommodated using a tube and massage method with an average semen volume of 0.35 ± 0.02 ml and a concentration (x106) of Bangkok chicken spermatozoa 4.714 ± 755.33 billion cells. /ml. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) which consisted of 3 treatments (P0 = 0.1ml cement + 1ml coconut water), (P1 = 0.1ml cement + 0.975ml coconut water + 2.5 percent chicken egg yolk). and (P2 = 0.1 ml cement + 0.95 ml coconut water + 5% chicken egg yolk). Parameters measured were individual motility, viability, and spermatozoa abnormalities. Based on the results of the analysis of variance on the observation of the motility of individual spermatozoa, it showed that the treatment had a very significant effect (P < 0>0.05). The P2 treatment with the addition of 5% purebred chicken egg yolk in coconut water diluent was generally better in maintaining the sperm quality of Bangkok chicken (Gallus-gallus Domesticus) than other treatments during 36 hours of storage, with the percentage value of the motility of individual spermatozoa = 42%, viability spermatozoa = 67%, and spermatozoa abnormalities = 14%. The conclusion of the study was that the addition of broiler egg yolks in coconut water diluent was able to maintain the sperm quality of Bangkok chicken (Gallus-gallus Domesticus) during storage time of 36 hours at 5ºC.
