| Abstrak Beef cattle are a potential sub-sector of livestock commodities. Types of beef cattle that were used as research subjects are Bali Cattle, Limosins, Simmental and Peranakan Ongole (PO). This study aims to evaluate the success rate of Artificial Insemination (IB) program in Beef Cattle in 2017 and 2018 in Lariang District, Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi Province. This research took place from November 6 to December 6, 2019. The number of IB acceptances in 2017 was 62 and in 2018 it was 84. IB uses frozen cement of Bali cow seedlings, Simmental, Limousine, and PO from BBIB Singosari Malang. IB implementation was carried out in 7 villages namely Parabu Village, Bajawali Village, Kenangan Village, Kulu Village, Bambakoro Village, Singgani Village and Batu Matoru Village. The research variables used are service per conception (S/C) and conception rate (CR). The results showed that in Lariang Subdistrict the value of S/C in Bali cows and PO in 2018 (1.77 and 1.88) better than 2017 (1.97 and 2.00), and Simmental cattle in 2017 (1.00) better than 2018 (2.42). CR figures in Bali cows in 2018 (45.90%) better than 2017 (41.50%), Sapi Simmental shows 2017 figures (100%) compared to 2018 (14.28%), in PO cows showed the same number in 2017 and 2018 (37.50%). The success rate of Artificial Insemination in Beef Cattle in Lariang District of Pasangkayu Regency of West Sulawesi Province based on S/C and CR in Bali cows in 2018 (1.77 and 45.90%) compared to 2017 (1.97 and 41.50%), in Simmental S/C and CR cows in 2017 (1.00 and 100%) better than in 2018 (2.42 and 14.28%), in PO S/C cows in 2018 (1.88) is better than in 2017 (2.00) and CR in 2017 and 2018 are the same (37.50%). |
