Abstrak
The success of quail cattle production is determined by the provision of good quality rations. On the other hand the cost of ration has the largest portion of the cost of production so it is necessary to reduce the cost of production by utilizing the conventional ration material without compromising the quality of the ration and quality of the product produced. One alternative is the use of kelor plants that grow in the region of Indonesia. The study aims to determine the influence of the use of kelor leaf flour (Moringa oleifera) in rations against the production performance of eggs. This research has been carried out in the home of Mr. I Made Sidiarta in the village of Petobo District Palu Selatan. The study was conducted for 6 weeks, from 3 January to 16 February 2019. The cattle-used Coturnix Coturnix Japonica laying was 16 weeks old as much as 200 tails. This study uses complete random design (RAL). Consisting of 5 treatments with 4 repeats. The treatment given is as follows: R0 = ration without using kelor leaf flour, R1 = Ransum contains 2.5% kelor leaf flour, R2 = ration contains 5% kelor leaf flour, R3 = ration contains 7.5% kelor leaf flour, R4 = Ransum contains 10% kelor leaf flour. The results of various analyses showed that the use of kelor leaf flour in rations gave a noticeable effect (P < 0.05) on the production of eggs (%), and ration conversion,. The highest intake of ration is obtained in the treatment of R0 (819.5) followed by R1 (812.75), R2 (806.5), R3 (801.25), and the lowest on the R4 treatment (791.25), the highest production of quail eggs was obtained at the R2 (80.82%) treatment, followed by R3 (79.64%), R1 (79.48%), R0 (79.08%), and the lowest (75.67%), the lowest conversion in the gain in the R3 (2.32) treatment followed by R2 (2.34), R1 (2.41), R0 and the highest treatment of R4 (2.56), the highest egg weight gained on the treatment of R3 (10, 30g), followed by R2 treatment (10, 17g), R1 (10, 09g), R4 (9, 73g), and the lowest treatment R0 (9, 69g). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the use of kelor leaf flour (Moringa oleifera) in quail rations gives the best results to the production of eggs and ration conversion on draft 2 at level 5% Pransum contains kelor leaf flour.
