| Abstrak ABSTRACT Family Knowledge in Recognizing Hypertension in the Fourth Neighborhood of North Birobuli Sub-District Enjelina Tangka'a (2023) Diploma III Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Medicine, Tadulako University Dr. Ni Wayan Sridani, S.ST., M.Kes Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is a health problem throughout the world, including Indonesia. Hypertension is also one of the degenerative diseases which is the highest cause of death in Indonesia and the second cause of death after stroke. This research aims to find out the family knowledge in recognizing hypertension in the Fourth Neighborhood of North Birobuli Sub-District. This research used quantitative descriptive method with a survey design. The sample of this research was 40 families suffering from hypertension. The instruments used are questionnaires, blood pressure monitors, and stethoscopes. The results of this research show that family knowledge in recognizing hypertension is less than 35 (87%) respondents and only 5 (12,5%) respondents. Meanwhile, the family's knowledge of respondents' blood pressure is less than 26 (65%) respondents with having grade 1 are categorized as moderate and 2 (5%) respondents with having grade 1 are categorized as moderate. Therefore, it can be concluded from this research that families knowledge in recognizing hypertension in the Fourth Neighborhood of North Birobuli Sub-District has less knowledge (87%) with hypertension blood pressure level 1 is categorized as moderate. The recommendation for further researchers is they can use this research for higher analysis and retest the results of this research. Keywords: Hypertension, Knowledge, Blood Pressure. |
