Abstrak ABSTRACT RAMLAH Factors Related to the Occurrence of Abortion in Pregnant Women in the Working Area of the UPTD Affairs for Kamonji Public Health Center Concentration in Biostatistics, Family Planning and Population Public Health Study Program Public Health Faculty Tadulako University January, 2021 Maternal mortality is still one of the unsolved problems, the high maternal mortality rate (MMR) is a world health problem, this happens because every day around 830 women die from complications of pregnancy and childbirth. The main causes of maternal mortality and childbirth are eclamptic bleeding and abortion. Abortion is also one of the causes of maternal death including maternal age, parity, pregnancy interval, nutritional status, maternal disease, and infection. Abortion (miscarriage) is one of the causes of bleeding that occurs in the first and second trimesters of pregnancy. This bleeding can cause the end of the pregnancy. Kamonji Public Health Center is one of the health service facilities in the Central Sulawesi Province, precisely in Palu. This research aims at determining the relationship between maternal age, parity and pregnancy spacing. Type of the research was a quantitative research with a cross sectional research design. The number of samples was 81 respondents. Data analysis used univariate and bivariate, at (?<0.05). The results of the square test show that there is a relationship between maternal age and the occurrence of abortion with ? value = 0.000, there is a relationship between parity and the occurrence of abortion with ? value = 0.000, and there is a relationship between the distance between pregnancy and the occurrence of abortion with a value of ? value = 0.000. This research suggests that the Kamonji public health center, especially midwives, should be able to increase promotion and preventive efforts with counseling, information and education regarding risk factors for anemia in early trimester pregnant women.
