Abstrak
Maternal mortality is still an unsolved problem, the high number of maternal deaths in several regions of the world reflects inequality in access to quality health services. One of the efforts to reduce the maternal mortality ratio is the implementation of the maternity planning and complication prevention program. Through the program, it is hoped that it can provide leverage to accelerate the reduction in maternal mortality ratio. The research aims to analyze the relationship between the role of the midwives in the maternity planning and complication prevention program and the maternal mortality case at UPTD. Affairs Kamonji Public Health Center, Palu City. This type of research is quantitative with a cross-sectional approach with the number of samples was 30 midwives. The data were collected through questionnaires and interviews then analyzed through univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the research show that there is a significant relationship between the role of the facilitator midwives of the maternity planning and complication prevention program and the maternal mortality case with a p-value = 0.009 (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between the role of educator midwives of the maternity planning and complication prevention program and the maternal mortality case with a p-value = 0.003 (p<0.05). There is a significant relationship between the role of midwives implementing of the maternity planning and complication prevention program and the maternal mortality case with a p-value = 0.003 (p<0.05). This research suggests the Kamonji Public Health Center, especially midwives and cadres, to be more active in implementing the component of maternity planning and complication prevention program in each region in preventing complications and maternal mortality cases.
