| Abstrak Early marriage age can lead to increase divorce cases due to lack of awareness to be responsible in household life. In Central Sulawesi Province, which is one of the provinces with a high percentage of early marriages, where early marriages in the Working Area of Religious Affairs Office of South Palu in 2017 as many as 35 people, in 2018 as many as 66 people, and in 2019 as many as 49 who were married under the age of 19 years. This research intends to analyze what factors are related to early marriage in the Working Area of Religious Affairs Office of South Palu. Type of the research was quantitative research using case control design. The sample was amounted to 98 respondents, 49 case respondents and 49 control respondents. The instrument used questionnaire. Data analysis was performed univariate and bivariate with chi-square test (?=0.05). The results show that there is a relationship between education (p-value=0.000), knowledge (p-value=0.001), parenting style (p-value=0.000), and there was no relationship of parental occupation (p-value=.143 ). It is suggested to the office of religious affairs/government to be able to plan programs that can reduce the number of early marriages, such as providing an understanding of the impact of early marriage that will occur in the household. |
