| Abstrak Teenagers are a transition period marked by physical, emotional and psychological changes. This period is very vulnerable to health problems. Many factors affect the health of young women, one of them is menstrual hygiene. Some diseases that easily appear in women are fungal and bacterial infections. This study aims to determine the relationship of knowledge with the implementation of personal hygiene during menstruation in young girls in Huntara Petobo. The province Central Sulawesi Health Office in 2018 there were 276 cases of syphilis that occurred due to sexually transmitted infections according to Palu City data in 2018 showing Personal hygiene during menstruation can cause infection in vital organs, data obtained from the Palu City Health Office in 2018 there are 102 cases. The purpose of this study was to determine genetalia personal hygiene during menstruation in adolescents in the petobo (temporary shelter) environment. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional study approach, sampling using stratified random sampling method. The number of samples in this study were 94 respondents. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data obtained based on statistical analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed there was no relationship between respondent's age (p = 0.072) to Personal Hygiene Genetalia, there was a relationship between respondent's knowledge (p = 0.00) to Personal Hygiene Genetalia and there was a relationship between the respondent's environment (p = 0,000) to Personal Hygiene Genetalia. To prevent infection of the female vital organs, it is necessary to provide an understanding of the dangers of infectious diseases in the vital organs.
