ABSTRACT DESICAWATI YUNI PALEMBANGAN. Behavior Of Camp Participants On Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms As Result Of Natural Liquidify Disasters Of Jonooge (Central Sulawesi) (Supervised by Rasyika Nurul Fadjriah) Specialization in Health Promotion Public Health Study Program Faculty of Public Health Tadulako University July 2020 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that occurs after a person experiences or witnesses a traumatic event. The national center for post traumatic stress disorder said that nearly 15-43% of female adolescent and 14-43% of male adolescents who have experienced at least one traumatic event as many as 3-15% of adolescents meet the full criteria for PTSD. The purpose of this research is to determine the behavior of Camp Jonooge participants to the symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to natural disasters of liquefaction of Jonooge, Central Sulawesi. This type of research is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection was carried out by indepth interview. Research informants as many as 12 people using purposive sampling techniques. The results showed that the traumatic experience experienced by clients due to disasters caused changes both emotionally and behaviorally. The client's level of knowledge knows about PTSD as well as the symptoms and effects of PTSD if left untreated. The client's attitude towards PTSD symptoms is to make efforts to overcome PTSD symptoms that are experienced. Health facilities from the school as the organizer of camp activities in Jonooge are given to clients in the first month after the disaster. Peer support is provided in the form of emotional support such as encouraging and informative support by giving advice. Suggestions for schools and other relevant agencies to provide appropriate facilities for handling trauma experienced by disaster survivors.
