Abstrak
Menstruation is a normal thing that occurs in women as a sign that a woman has entered puberty. Dysmenorrhea is pain that occurs in women during menstruation which can be caused by several factors such as physical activity, consumption of fast food, exposure to cigarette smoke to stress levels. The prevalence of primary dysmenorrhea in Indonesia is around 54.89%, while the prevalence of dysmenorrhea in adolescents ranges from 43% to 93%. This study aims to determine the relationship between lifestyle and dysmenorrhea, in particular the relationship between physical activity, diet, exposure to cigarette smoke and stress with the incidence of dysmenorrhea in students of SMAN Model Terpadu Madani Palu. This research is a quantitative type with a sample size of 86 people through the simple random sampling method. The results showed a relationship between physical activity (p = 0.002), diet (p = 0.011), exposure to cigarette smoke (p = 0.009) and stress (p = 0.006) with the incidence of dysmenorrhea in students of SMAN Integrated Model Madani Palu. The suggestion given is to make preventive efforts to reduce pain levels such as exercise, consumption of nutritionally balanced foods, avoiding exposure to cigarette smoke, and carrying out beneficial and positive activities, as well as for schools in particular to provide infrastructure in obtaining information about reproductive health.
