Background: The medical education curriculum is an important element that determines the quality of graduates and the achievement of academic and clinical competencies. The Faculty of Medicine, Tadulako University has used two competency-based curriculum approaches, namely the SKDI curriculum in 2015 and the SNPPDI curriculum in 2021, which have differences in the structure of the education phase and the learning method. The implementation of these two curricula will have the potential to make a difference in educational output, especially the study period and the Cumulative Achievement Index (GPA) of students. Objective: To analyze the comparison of the output of curriculum implementation in students of the Faculty ofMedicine, Tadulako University based on study period and GPA. Methods: Quantitative research with a cross-sectional analytical survey design, using academic secondary data of students of the class of 2015 (SKDI ?urriculum 2012) and class of 2021 (SNPPDI curriculum 2019). A total sample of 171 students was analyzed using the Mann-Whitney statistical test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The study showed that there was a significant difference in the variables of study period and GPA per semester between the two curricula, with a p value of < 0.05 in all variables tested. The percentage of on-time graduation in the SKDI curriculum reached 96.2%, while in the SNPPDI curriculum it was 81.5%. However, the achievement of GPA shows higher academic performance in the SNPPDI curriculum, with a superior grade distribution than the SKDI curriculum. Conclusion: The SNPPDI curriculum has been proven to be more effective in improving the quality ofstudents' academic achievements, but it is less efficient in terms ofthe timeliness ofstudy, whichindicates the need for a strategy to optimize curriculum implementation.
