Introduction: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), with the main clinical symptoms including cough, fever, muscle pain, and shortness of breath. Knowing the platelet profile in the form of PLT, MPV, and PDW in COVID-19 patients during the pandemic and post-pandemic is an effort to understand the long-term effects of COVID-19 on platelet profiles and as a prognostic indicator for the management and care of COVID-19 patients. Objective: To compare platelet profiles in COVID-19 patients during the pandemic and post-pandemic. Methods: This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach. The number of research samples was 31 COVID-19 patients during the pandemic and 31 samples of COVID-19 patients post-pandemic. The sampling technique used was a mixed method, namely Ratio Sampling and Total Sampling. The instrument used secondary data from medical records from the Anutapura Regional General Hospital, Palu. Results: The study's results on the platelet profile of COVID-19 pandemic patients were mostly in the normal range, as seen from PLT as much as 80.6%, MPV as much as 87.1%, and PDW as much as 71%. Meanwhile, the platelet profile of post-pandemic COVID-19 patients was mostly in the normal range as seen from PLT as much as 93.5%, MPV as much as 77.4%, and PDW 80.6%, with the results of the Mann-Whitney test. p-value PLT = 0.678, MPV = 0.521, PDW = 0.275. Conclusion: There is no significant difference in platelet profiles in COVID-19 patients during the pandemic and post-pandemic COVID-19 patients. Keywords: Platelet Profile, COVID-19, pandemic, post-pandemic.
