Abstrak Background: Low Back Pain (LBP) is a clinical syndrome characterized by the onset of pain symptoms around the lower back (L5-S1) without or can be accompanied by transmission to the inferior extremities. LBP is the most common musculoskeletal complaint. Its prevalence ranges from 20-33% in all patients with musculoskeletal pain complaints worldwide. The number of low back pain sufferers in Indonesia is unknown, but is estimated to be between 7.6% and 37%. LBP can be influenced by several risk factors such as age, work duration and length of work. Convection tailors are occupations with a high risk of LBP complaints due to exposure to risk factors in doing their work. Objective: To determine the relationship between age, work duration and length of work on Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints in convection tailors in Palu City. Methods: This study used an analytic observational method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were convection tailors, the sample size was 36 which were taken using total sampling technique. Data collection was done using a questionnaire based on The Pain And Distress Scale. Results: Bivariate analysis using chi square test. The results obtained p value <0 p=0.000), p=0.000)>0.05 value on work duration (p=0.148) which indicates that there is no relationship. Conclusion: There is a relationship between age and length of work, while there is no relationship between work duration and complaints of LBP in convection tailors in Palu City.
