Abstrak THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE AMOUNT AND FREQUENCY OF FEEDING MP-ASI TO THE NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF CHILDREN AGED 7-24 MONTHS AT THE BIROMARU HEALTH CENTER SIGI REGENCY Risma*, Rahma** * Medical Student, Faculty of Medicine, Tdulako University * *Departement of Public Health Sciences, Faculty of medicine, Tadulako University ABSTRACT Background: Nutritional status is a measure of physical condition that shows the state of the body. It is based on the ratio between the amount of nutrients the body consumes and the amount of nutrients the body needs. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 22% of the stunted population worldwide, or about 149.2 million children under the age of five will be stunted by 2020. Objectives: This study aims to analyze the relationship between the amount and frequency of complementary feeding (MP-ASI) on the nutritional status of children aged 7-24 months at Biromaru Health Center, Sigi Regency. Methods: The study used an analytic observational design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 87 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and anthropometric measurements to assess children's nutritional status. Results: The study showed that the majority of children had good nutritional status, with 79.3?sed on the BW/PB index, 57.5?sed on the PB/U index, and 60.9?sed on the BW/U index. Bivariate analysis using Somer's D test showed a significant relationship between the frequency of complementary feeding and children's nutritional status (p < 0> 0.05). Conclusion: This finding confirms the importance of appropriate frequency of complementary feeding to support children's growth and development, and prevent nutritional problems. This study is expected to provide insights for parents and health care providers on the importance of appropriate complementary feeding, and serve as a basis for further research to improve the nutritional status of children in the region.
