Wounds are specifically related to tissue substance that is damaged or lost due to damage to the unit or component of a tissue. Wound healing process requires intensive treatment, topical antibiotic preparations that can be applied to the wound are often the commonly used treatment. The alternative treatment option that is the solution to this problem is propolis which is in great demand by the public. Objective: To determine the effect of different routes of administration of oral and topical propolis on the effect on wound area of rats (Rattus norvegicus L,.) Wistar strain with incision wound treatment (Vulnus Scisum). Method: This research is a true experimental research with posttest only with control group design using 6 experimental groups. In this case, the number of samples used were 18 rats used in testing propolis on the wound healing process of rats (Rattus norvegicus L,.) wistar strain. Findings: The research conducted in each experimental group gave results with no significant differences. In the group giving propolis orally with a concentration of 250 mg and 500 mg compared to the group giving povidone iodine orally, the results (p=1,000). In the group giving propolis topically with a concentration of 250 mg and 500 mg compared to the group giving povidone iodine orally, the results (p=1,000). Conclusion: Oral administration of propolis and topical administration of propolis had a healing effect on rats (Rattus Norvegicus L.,) wistar strain treated with cuts (Vulnus Scisum) with a note that oral and topical propolis administration gave the same effect on wound healing.
