Abstrak
Introduction: Cancer is one of the most common causes of death in the world. Cancer of the ovary occupies the seventh position as a type of cancer that attacks women and ranks eighth as a cancer that often attacks women in the world and has great potential for death. The risk factors for cervical cancer are parity, contraception, age, menarche, and fertility. Ovarian cancer is generally found in women of older age or post-menopausal age. The clinical stages of ovarian cancer consist of stages IA, IB, IC, IIA, IIB, IIC, IIIA, IIIB, IIIC, and IV. Objective: To find out the characteristics of the occurrence of cervical cancer based on age, menarche, and history of hormonal contraception at Undata Regional Public Hospital, Palu. Method: This research was an observational descriptive research with a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique applied total sampling with a total sample of 28 samples. Results: Most of the ovarian cancer patients are aged > 50 years, namely 17 people (60.7%). The results show that the highest frequency of ovarian cancer based on age at menarche is at the age of >12 years as many as 18 people (64.3%). The distribution of the frequency of patients with ovarian cancer from a history of hormonal contraception is mostly in patients who have never used any type of contraception, as many as 19 people (67.9%). The highest frequency of cancer stages is found in stage IIIC, which are 22 people (78.65%). Conclusion: The most distribution of ovarian cancer patients are aged > 50 years with stage IIIC, history of menarche > 12 years and have never used any type of contraception.
