FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE LEVEL OF ADHERENCE TO IRON (FE) AND FOLIC ACID CONSUMPTION IN PREGNANT WOMEN AT THE TAWAELI PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER Yustika Widya Sari*, Miranti** *A Student of Medical Faculty of Tadulako University, Indonesia **A Lecturer of Public Health Sciences Department, Medical Faculty of Tadulako University, Indonesia ABSTRACT Background: Anemia is a health problem in Indonesia. The Basic Health Research resulted in 2013 showed that the anemia case in pregnant women in Indonesia was 37.1%. Based on data from the Health Office, Palu City, anemia in pregnant women at the Tawaeli Public Health Center is relatively high. In 2020, there were 125 pregnant women anemic from 307 pregnant women. Therefore, it is considered necessary to evaluate compliance with iron and folic acid (IFA) consumption to reduce the risk of anemia in pregnant women. Research Objectives: This research objective is to determine the factors that influence the level of adherence to Fe and folic acid consumption in pregnant women at the Tawaeli Public Health Center. Research Methods: This research was quantitative with an observational analytical research design and a cross-sectional approach. The samples were taken through the purposive sampling technique. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the number of samples was 58 pregnant women. The research instrument used a questionnaire and was analyzed through the SPSS chi-square test. Research Results: The results show that the compliance of pregnant women in taking IFA tablets is obtained by 44 people (76%). The level of knowledge is less than 43 people (74%). 55 pregnant women (95%) have a positive attitude. 100% for good health services, and 56% is less family support. The results of the statistical analysis of the chi-square test obtained factors that have a relationship with compliance, namely the level of knowledge and family support with a P-value = 0.02 and an R-value = 9.7. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of compliance with the level of knowledge and family support of pregnant women in consuming IFA tablets with a P-value = 0.02. Keywords: Consumption Compliance, Iron Folic Acid, Pregnant Women
