Rata-rata kadar hematologi rutin pasien COVID-19 yaitu kadar hemoglobin normal (82,60%), kadar leukosit normal (78,26%), kadar trombosit normal (100%), kadar eritrosit normal (60,87) dan kadar hematokrit normal (60,87%). Routine Hematological Parameters in Patients Confirmed Positive for Covid-19 at Anutapura Hospital in Palu Fitria Ramadhan* Rosa Dwi Wahyuni** * Medical Student, Medical Faculty, Tadulako University ** Department of Clinical Pathology, Medical Faculty, Tadulako University ABSTRACT Introduction: The 2019 Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a disease that is known to be contagious due to a new type of virus called SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2). Blood tests have an important role in early diagnosis of disease, this information includes the leukocyte count and characteristics such as neutrophil or lymphocyte predominance, inflammation (CRP), collateral organ damage (acute renal failure, acute liver failure) and disease severity. Blood tests as well as continuous tracking of hematological changes can reveal a risk of disease progression. Objective: To analyze routine hematological parameters in patients confirmed positive for COVID-19 at Anutapura Hospital in Palu. Method: The research conducted applied a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The sampling technique used accidental sampling with a total sample of 23 patients. Data collection used secondary data from patients confirmed positive for COVID-19. Results: The results show that the majority of patients infected with COVID-19 are male (65.21%) with a vulnerable late age of 36-45 years (30.43%). The mean routine hematological levels of COVID-19 patients are normal hemoglobin levels (82.60%), normal leukocyte levels (78.26%), normal platelet levels (100%), normal erythrocyte levels (60.87) and normal hematocrit levels (60.87%). Conclusion: At the beginning of the COVID-19 infection, routine hematological levels are normal. Then, in the advanced phase and severe cases, hematologic abnormalities occur. Keywords: Hematology Routine (Hemoglobin, Leukocytes, Platelets, Erythrocytes And Hematocrit), Patient Confirmed Positive for COVID-19. |
