Abstrak
Background: Antimicrobials are the most widely used class of drugs in the world related to the incidence of microbial infections. Inappropriate use of antimicrobials in hospitals is one of the main factors driving antimicrobial resistance. Antimicrobial Stewardship Guideline (ASG) is a complete movement to control antimicrobial resistance. Research to determine whether there was a suitable use of antimicrobials in inpatients and outpatients for Antimicrobial Stewardship Guideline (ASG) in RSU Tadulako Palu for April-June 2019. Methods: This research is using a cross sectional design. This research was conducted for approximately 3 months, June-August 2019. Result: The results of this study indicate that patients at the RSU Tadulako showed that there were only a few categories of Gyssens (0, IIB, IIIB, IVA) out of 13 Gyssens categories. Among these categories, the most was category 0 (use of antimicrobials wisely), amounted to 17 samples (56.7%) inpatient and 18 samples (52.9%) in outpatient care. Conclusion: There is 17 cases (56.7%) that were PPRA compliant at hospitalization and 18 cases (52.9%) that were PPRA compliant at ambulatory care.
