Abstrak
The highest biodiversity in Indonesia is butterflies (Lepidoptera). There are around 2,200 species of butterflies in Indonesia. Butterflies have an important value in the forest ecosystem, namely as pollinators to maintain plant diversity, the presence of butterflies as pollinating insects can help maintain many plant species in their habitat. The purpose of the study was to identify the types of butterflies found in the Nupabomba Village Protected Forest area, Tanantovea District, Donggala Regency. And to know the diversity of butterfly species in the Nupabomba Village Protected Forest area, Tanantovea District, Donggala Regency. In addition, this study was conducted for 2 months, starting from September to October 2024. The data collection technique used in this study was the Time-Search method. The analysis used was the species diversity index, evenness index, species dominance index and t-test count. The results of the study in three habitat types found 20 species from 210 individual butterflies. The results of the butterfly species diversity index in three habitat types, namely Secondary Forest with a value of (1.864), Garden with a value of (2.393), and Riverbank with a value of (2.202). The evenness of butterfly species in Secondary Forest is around (0.958), surrounding gardens (0.845), and surrounding riverbanks (0.886). Based on the results of the t-test, it shows that there is no difference between the riverbanks and secondary forests that were compared.
