Abstrak
The existence of butterflies in nature has several important functions, namely as pollinator insects or flower pollinators, As ecosystem components, and as environmental bioindicators. The purpose of this study is to provide information on the types of butterflies found in the Paneki Hamlet Forest Park Area, Pombewe Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. This study was conducted from September to November 2024. The research location is in the Paneki Hamlet Forest Park Area, Pombewe Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency, which consists of two types of land cover, namely secondary forests and plantations. The data collection method used is Time-Search, namely inventorying butterfly species in predetermined time units, there are no distance and area limits on each observation plot. The time unit used is 10 minutes of observation. successfully identified 48 species of butterflies from 5 families. Analysis using the diversity index, evenness index, and dominance index. The Pareronia tritaea butterfly species consistently dominates around secondary forests, while the Danaus genutia butterfly species consistently dominates around plantations.
