Abstrak Abstract Distribution patterns are an important character in an ecological community. This is usually the first thing observed in looking at some communities and is one of the basic properties of most groups of living organisms. Information regarding population density is felt to be insufficient to provide a complete picture of the condition of a population in a habitat. The aim of this research is to determine the types of birds and the distribution patterns of bird species in the Pangi Binanga nature reserve area, Sakina Jaya village, North Parigi sub-district, Parigi Mouton district. This research was conducted for 3 months starting from May to July 2024. This research used the point count method. Observations on each habitat type were carried out at sample units (counting points) in the form of a circle with a radius of r= 50 m. Research conducted in the Pangi Binangga Nature Reserve Area, Sakina Jaya Village, North Parigi District, Parigi Moutong Regency, Central Sulawesi Province, which consists of two types of habitat, riverbank and secondary, found 30 species of birds from 20 families. Analysis using the Morisita index (I?) on riverbank and secondary habitat types shows that the more dominant distribution pattern is a clustered distribution pattern, namely the gray-tailed chili bird (Dicaeum celebicum) and the twig bird (Hypothymis azurea).
