Abstrak
Association is the existence of interdependence between one species and another, both animals and plants, from the simplest to the highest level. This association phenomenon or interaction, also often referred to as symbiosis, is a natural occurrence in nature, due to the interdependence between species and as part of the ecosystem balance process. This study aims to record the types of butterflies and determine the association of butterfly species found in the Paneki Hamlet Forest Park Area, Pombewe Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. This research was conducted from September to November 2024. The research location is in the Paneki Hamlet Forest Park Area, Pombewe Village, Sigi Biromaru District, Sigi Regency. The data collection method used is Time-Search, which is an inventory of butterfly species in predetermined time units, without distance and area limits on each observation plot. The time unit used is 10 minutes of observation. Successfully identified 48 species of butterflies from 5 families. Analysis using Chi-Square. The species that is most associated is Amathusia phidippus, which is involved in associations with 29 other species. The association with the highest value is recorded in the pair Appias zarinda and Discolampa ilissus. The association with the smallest value is found in the pair Danaus affinis and Doleschallia bisaltide.
