| Abstrak Pine merkusii Jungh et de Vriese is the only type of pine native to Indonesia, pine merkusii is a type of needle-leaved plant tree belonging to the Pinaceae family that can grow naturally in Indonesia at an altitude between 200–2,000m above sea level, with optimal conditions at an altitude between 400–1,500m above sea level, pine has dual uses such as for raw materials and paper, turpentine, pencil and carpentry wood. The success of pine seedling growth is greatly influenced by various factors including planting medium and watering. Planting media functions as a place to grow and provide nutrients for plants, while watering plays a role in maintaining the balance of water needed by plants. This study aims to determine the influence of planting media, watering interval treatment and the interaction between planting media and watering interval treatment on the growth of merkusii pine seedlings.
