| Abstrak One of the mangrove forests in Central Sulawesi in Kabonga Besar Village, Donggala Regency, is a mangrove forest ecosystem that can be utilized by the surrounding community to meet their living and economic needs. The mangrove forest must be protected for sustainability, because it has many functions and benefits for humans, and deserves to be considered as one of the life supports for the surrounding community The sustainability of mangrove forests as tourist destinations is certainly determined by the increase in visitors. In order to evaluate the success of mangrove forest management as a tourist destination, evaluation from visitors is needed through the assessment of visitor response and community participation in mangrove forest tourism management This research uses a qualitative descriptive method, where researchers describe and summarize various situations and conditions or phenomena that are the object of research and qualitative descriptive is considered more appropriate to be used to research problems in need in-depth studies such as visitor response and community participation in mangrove forest tourism management. The results showed that the response of visitors to mangrove forest tourism from the level of knowledge of mangrove forest tourism conditions from the Cognitive Aspect was 100%, and interest in tourism from the Affective Aspect was 92% and agreed to contribute in terms of the Conative Aspect 96%. Through community participation in mangrove forest tourism management, the community is not involved in mangrove forest tourism management either from planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. |
