Abstrak
Soil macrofauna greatly influences the improvement of soil function in forests by accelerating the decomposition of organic matter, thereby increasing nutrients and maintaining soil fertility. The diversity of soil macrofauna species is also influenced by the vegetation that grows around it. This research was conducted for three months from March 2024 to August 2024. Soil macrofauna sampling was carried out on 20-year-old and 23-year-old teak (Tectona grandis Linn.F.) stands in Limbaro Village, Banawa Tengah District, Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi. At the designated location, a modified litter bag was made with a size of 20 cm x 20 cm using nylon cloth with a hole size of 2 x 2 mm The results of the study showed that there were 21 species of macrofauna found in teak stands. The number of species in the 23-year-old teak stand area was 20 species (74 individuals) while the 20-year-old was 16 species (52 individuals). Furthermore, the dinersity inder of soil macrofauma species found in 20-year-old teak stands (Tectona grandis Linn.F.) was 1.239, which means that the diversity index of soil macrofauna was in the medium category, while the diversity index of soil macrofauna species in 23-year-old teak stands (Tectona grandis Linn.F.) was 1.024, which means that the diversity index of soil macrofauna species was in the low category. Furthermore, the similarity index of soil macrofauna species found in teak stands (Tectona grandis Linn.F.) showed a similarity of ? 90% (83.33%) which means that the similarily index of soil macrojauna species was not much difjerent.
