| Abstrak The Maleo bird is a type of bird from the island of Sulawesi. Maleo birds only live naturally on the island of Sulawesi or experts call them endemic. This research aims to determine the level of public perception and attitudes towards maleo birds in Kadidia Village, Nokilalaki District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi. This research was carried out for 2 months from August to September 2023 in Kadidia Village, Nokilalaki District, Sigi Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The selection of samples to be interviewed used a purposive sampling method or determined sampling by determining special characteristics that were appropriate to the community members at the research location, totaling 42 respondents. Respondents interviewed were divided into groups aged 20 - 44 years, aged 45 - 59 years, and 60 years and over. The results of the research show that the people of Kadidia Village have good attitudes and perceptions of the people of Kadidia Village. In general, the level of community perception in Kadidia Village is included in the good perception category, namely 78.38% or as many as 33 respondents, while the level of community attitudes is dominated by low levels. also behaved well with 75.45% or 32 respondents.
