Abstrak
Soil fertility is very important for plant growth because the nutritional intake for plants is provided by the soil. One way to determine soil fertility is the biological aspect of the soil. The biological quality of soil increases with the presence of soil microorganisms, especially in the rhizosphere, this is because in the soil microorganisms have quite complex roles, starting from mineralization, nitrogen fixation, nutrification, phosphate solubilization, antibiosis, siderophore production, plant growth regulation, and induction of plant resistance. This research aims to determina the population of soil microbes in teak groves (tectona grandis L.F) of different ages, namely 17 years old and 10 years old in oti village, Sindue Tobata District, Donggala Regency. This research was carried out from April 2023 to July 2023. Soil samples were taken from teak (Tectona grandis L.F) stands of different ages, namely 17 years old and 10 years old in Oti Village, Sindue Tobata District, Donggala Regency. This research started from a field survey, determining sampling points, the sample points were carried out deliberately (purpose sampling). Soil samples were taken at a depth of 0-10cm. identification of soil bacteria and fungi was carried out using the petri dish method with a dilution series of 10?4 - 10?7 and then counted using a colony counter. The results of the study showed that the population of soil bacteria in teak aged 17 years was higher, namely 197,1 × 105 CFU g ?1 compared to teak aged 10 years, namely only 111,7 × 105 CFU g ?1 . Meanwhile, the population of soil fungi was higher in teak aged 10 years, namely 104,2 × 104 CFU g ?1 , compared to teak aged 17 years , 82,2 × 104 CFU g ?1
