Abstrak Mature candlenut stands with good phenotypes will produce fruit and seeds which will then become seeds for new stands. Whether a seed source is good or bad is closely related to the chemical condition of the soil, which is one of the most important factors apart from physical, biological and biomass conditions. This research aims to determine the chemical conditions of the soil in the candlenut seed source stands in Uwemanje Village and Bakubakulu Village, Sigi Regency. This research was carried out from March to June 2023. This research started with a field survey, then continued with taking soil samples using purposive sampling, source of candlenut seeds. Soil sample analysis was carried out at the Soil Science Unit Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Tadulako University, Palu. Soil chemical conditions in the candlenut seed source stand in Uwemanje Village, topsoil (0-30 cm) has a pH of 6.24 acid, C-Organic 5.68% high, CEC 30.15 (cmol(+)kg-1) high, P-Available 20.21 ppm low, N-Total 0.30% moderate. Meanwhile, the subsoil (30-60 cm) has a pH (H2O) of 6.05 acid, C-Organic 4.55% high, CEC 25.06 (cmol(+)kg-1) high, P-Available 14.18 ppm low, N-Total 0.23% medium. Meanwhile, source of candlenut seeds Bakubakulu Village, topsoil (0-30 cm) has an acidic pH of 6.20, high C-Organic 4.29%, high CEC of 24.91 (cmol(+)kg-1), high P-Available 16.64 ppm low, N-Total 0.14% low. Meanwhile, the subsoil (30-60 cm) has a pH (H2O) of 5.91 acid, C-Organic 1.67% low, CEC 19.36 (cmol(+)kg-1) medium, P-Available 5.46 ppm very low, N-Total 0.08% low. |
